Lecture: Possibilities and limitations of CAD/CAM-Polymers

Daniël Edelhoff received his Dental Technician degree from the Dental Technician School in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 1982. In 1991, he obtained his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Aachen, Germany. Professor Edelhoff served as Visiting Professor at the Dental Clinical Research Center of the Oregon Health and Sciences University, Portland, Oregon from 1999 to 2001. He obtained his postdoctoral lecture qualification at the University of Aachen in June 2003. Daniel Edelhoff is a certified specialist in prosthodontics and currently a Tenured Associate Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics and Dental Material Sciences at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. Daniel Edelhoff is board certified Specialist in Prosthodontics and is a member of the German Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine and the German Society Dental Prosthetics and Biomaterial Sciences (DGPro). He is Vice President of the Association of Dental Technology (ADT), member of the advisory board of the DGPro, Associate Member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED), as well as Scientific Chairman of the 8th World Congress of the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry (IFED) in Munich 2013. Daniel Edelhoff received the award “Best Lecture” by the Association of Dental Technology (ADT) in 2010, the award “Best article of the year” by the Italian Dental Dialogue Journal in 2011, and the award “Best Teacher” by the dental students of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University and the Bavarian Association of Dentists in 2012. He received an international research grant from the German Scientific Society (DFG) from 1999 to 2001. He is furthermore author of numerous national and international clinical and research articles as well as scientific statements.
